Formula fed babies

Any advice and help appreciated!
I have a 6 week old who is now fully formula fed, we started with breastfeeding topped up with formula but I had a hospital stay that meant that I could no longer feed.
He has now been on full formula for nearly 3 weeks, since birth he has been on kendamil and a thickener given by the dr for reflux.

He seems to have been really suffering with reflux and now excessive wind, sometimes trapped wind and bad constipation.
I’ve been to the dr and they have given him lactulose. But that was 4 days ago and he still hasn’t been to the toilet.
He seems fussy and cries a lot seemingly in pain. I believe it could be CMPA but the Dr won’t look at that until the medicine has been given a chance but seeing him struggle is horrible.

I’m wondering has anyone found that the Kendamil is not the right fit for their little one and switched formula? Any advice on trying this before the Dr tries him for the allergies? Or do I just push back and get them to do it now?

I also started on Kendamil, baby had constipation, midwife said it was a heavy milk. I switched to SMA comfort but realised it wasn't great at mixing in the bottle. Tried Kendamil comfort but it seemed to have the same effect as the normal Kendamil. We have now settled on HIPP Organic. Baby had colic for a week as she settled into her new milk, but now there are no more issues. Used infacol for the colic.

Yep, I know lots of babies who have struggled on kendamil, have done much better on a milk change

Reflux is also often air induced, so increased winding and looking at latch on bottle, can also make a big difference too. The constipation/ slow bowels could be linked to the wind too
