Concerned about little one’s development

I have been putting off making a post for a few weeks now as I don’t want to worry myself more but now my little one is 6 months (well, will be in 2 days!) I thought I’d just go for it. Basically I’m worried that he’s maybe behind slightly in physical development, but he’s my first so I really don’t know.

The concerns I have are that he can’t sit unaided yet, and he only really rolls to the side and back (very occasionally does he roll back to belly or belly to back) For a 6 month old is this normal or cause for potential concern? We don’t have any HV appointments and haven’t since he was 3 months so I feel I have nobody to ask!

Personally I wouldn't worry. My now 3 year old and my LO now couldn't sit or roll at 6 months. My 3 year old is absolutely fine, running and jumping etc. Sitting, rolling, crawling, standing all happened very fast between 6-9 months

Like adults learn things at different speeds, its the same for Babies. Keep encouraging tummy time and sitting in sit-me-up chairs or similar so baby can keep building those muscles. Before you know it baby will be running circles around you and you'll be wish for them to sit still for 5 minutes

My son is 7 months next week. He can roll onto his back and I can count on one hand how many times he rolled back! He has only just started to sit but not completely unaided yet. Im not worried as from all of the baby groups etc I see loads of babies much more advanced or much more delayed than him. He'll work it all out in his own time x
