I want people's opinion on if this is a good idea or not
My son's birthday is next Month and I don't want to have a party. I did that the first 2 times and it was stressful so we thought we will take him to the zoo and if any of the family want to come they can meet us at the zoo. We won't be able to pay for their tickets but I don't know if that is rude.

I don’t think it’s rude at all, we haven’t had an actual party for my son since he was 2, and since then we do the same thing just outings and family are invited. There was never a spoken agreement but what we’ve ended up doing is buying their food and they’ve paid for admission.

No! Not rude. My sister did this and she gave each kiddo a little goodie bag for the zoo and afterwards we went to a park within walking distance and she brought cupcakes, sandwiches and juice boxes. It was a small group. The kids loved it.
