It really frustrates me when people ask me my babies name and I tell them. They say they like it but then start giving me other options… like why even ask me ? lol annoying

Everyone has something to sayyy! I started sharing some name ideas and decided once I choose I’ll be keeping it to myself because I don’t want to hear it anymore 😑 it’s hard enough finding names both me and my husband agree on… I literally can’t even with other people’s opinions!
Soo annoying. I had a client say she wasn’t crazy about our name and then suggested her own ideas. Meanwhile she will most likely never in her life meet MY kid 🫠
In another perspective, I fully expect that no matter what name we choose, my family and baby's eventual peers will come up with nicknames I could have never imagined in advance anyways!
I think as long as the name's not Dilbert you're allowed to pick whatever name(s) you like and say "wow wouldn't that be wild!" to any of the opinions
(Also, sorry to the Dilberts and Dilbert-lovers of the world)
