Not sure if anyone can relate
Recently single and for the last 7 years my ex took me away from my religion. Now that it’s the kids and I. I would like to introduce them to going to mass and learning about my religion. But when I do show up I feel so out of place going in with 2 kids and no ring or husband by my side. I’m going to baptism both my kids and got asked about my husband. I felt judged but it might’ve been my insecurities.

You’re definitely not alone. Lots of people return to their faith after years away and feel out of place at first. Going to Mass with two children on your own doesn’t make you any less welcome. Whether your ex actively stopped you practising or you simply drifted away during the relationship, you’re allowed to reconnect with your faith now. Most churches are just happy to see families there xx
