My baby is 8 weeks old and I’m finding it hard to stick to the max 90 min wake window. He used to feed to sleep all the time but this rarely happens now. He often needs rocking for 30mins-1 hour before falling asleep and during the day will only sleep on me. Just feels like all I do is feed, rock to sleep, let him sleep on me then go again. It’s such hard work rocking him to sleep, especially when it can often take an hour 😩
Is anyone else in a similar situation? How important is it to stick to the 90min wake windows? And any tips for getting him to sleep?

My baby never has 90 min wake windows. Sometimes they’re 2.5 hrs. He tends to spend the morning sleeping and eating and the afternoon more awake. As long as he has his total sleep across the day 🤷🏻♀️

My baby doesn’t really sleep during the day! Been like it since 4 weeks. He’ll have a few contact naps and I try to get out for an hour each day which helps him fall asleep and can last from 1-3 hours. Other than that if he’s not on me then he’s chilling in bouncer or playmat. Every little minute counts x

If it’s taking an hour to get them to sleep they’re not tired. A baby will sleep when they’re tired, I drove myself nuts doing this with my first baby! Ignore wake windows and follow your babies cues. Both my babies have been able to comfortably stay awake long past the ‘wake windows’ for their age. Babies have wildly different sleep needs, they’re never all going to follow set patterns for their age x
