Workplace attire is quite casual here and I found myself slightly overdressed at the beginning. Slowly I started to dress down to blend in but I feel frumpy.
Here people are more relaxed about it and dress as if they are at home, quite casual.
Where I come from we show up polished to do our office jobs, business casual, crisp clothes, showered, hair done, tailored clothes.
Do you feel the same? Did you also have to start to dress down to blend in?

Not an immigrant in the UK, but I've noticed the same especially since lockdown. Tends to be a lot more smart-casual these days and it's rare to see a man in a suit in the office. I'm glad!

Also not an immigrant but have noticed the same. Before I had my son I had been helping with the interview process at work (not actually interviewing but kind of supporting) and it shocked me the amount of people that rocked up looking like they'd rolled out of bed and chucked the nearest clothes on. Kind of sets the tone for what is accepted if they get the job
