I have 2 French bulldogs that are quite energetic. They have been amazing with my baby girl - they will give her a sniff and occasionally a cheeky lick.

I have a Yorkie who absolutely loses his minds with new people visiting. He's off the walls excited and he was SO good with my baby. He'd always hop on my bed and check on her when she was asleep in my cot next to my bed. He actually kept his distance for a good while before he actually started greeting her. They now play tug-o-war together and it's the sweetest thing. He's so gentle with her. When we first brought her home we kept her in the car chair so he could have a good sniff and see. He went crazy greeting all of us and completely ignored the car seat. (He hasn't seen me in a few days as I had an emergency C-section). When he eventually did notice the car seat up on our bed he hopped up and had a sniff but he wasn't particularly interested. I think when they're that little the doggos don't realise it's a tiny person just yet 😂

That should help, I also made my partner go in the house first to let our dog out for a wee/ use a bit of excitement up seeing him first, while we stayed in the car, then came in a few mins later, if it makes you feel more comfortable maybe think about having him on a lead for the first few mins(depending on your dog that might make him more crazy 🤪, you know your dog best)
But yeah for the bit of time you’ve got left try to keep the environment calm, teach him the words gentle/calm with treats or just saying it when he is calm and rewarding him so he starts associating that atmosphere with the word

Hope this helps I’m sure he’ll be a darling ❤️
