High risk 2nd pregnancy

So I knew from my previous experience that I was going to be high risk this time round however, I didn’t realise I would be SO high risk!
My booking appointment with midwife today has left me feeling so anxious and worried about this pregnancy.
After an extremely traumatic birth with my son (cat 1 emergency c section under general anaesthetic) I was hoping this time round would be a healing experience.
Due to my blood pressure history, traumatic birth, blood loss, a fibroid I have etc etc etc I am feeling very much deflated.
No idea what I want to gain from this post but just wanted to get it off my chest.

thank you so much for sharing.
It’s so scary to have so many referrals thrown at you in one appointment.
Were you told to take low dose aspirin?

Mum guilt

We found out we were having baby number 2 last week, it took us over a year to conceive our first so wanted to start trying on the earlier side for baby number 2, but conceived the first month this time🫣

Although we had agreed anytime from now would be an ok age gap (first will be 20 months), I can’t help but feel so guilty my first won’t have 100% of my attention. I don’t think it’s the age gap that’s why, I think any age I’d feel like this but I just didn’t expect to feel like this.

We’re so happy and feel so lucky we get to have a second and that our first will have a sibling, but just wondered if any one else had/has felt like this?

Can’t stop eating

I’m only 9 weeks and I cannot stop eating!! As soon as I’ve eaten, I need something else. I’m eating about 10 meals a day currently. Mostly carbs.
I’ve already put on a lot of weight. Is this normal in the first trimester and will it calm down?! 😭

TMI - feeling a bit of pressure down there at 21 weeks, is that normal?

It started today around midday and I only feel pressure down there when I’m walking or standing up but if I’m sitting or laying down, am fine!

winter baby

i’m very grateful to be pregnant but i’m not excited to be due in january!

this will be my second baby, my first was also born in jan (2023) and i absolutely hated the whole timeline of my pregnancy with her. i always find january a very difficult month to get through (winter in general) and definitely thought it had a big impact on my postnatal experience.

im due two days after my daughters due date (one day before her birthday) and hate the fact they’ll have birthdays so close.

any positive outlooks or reassurance would be appreciated! i’m all for this baby, just struggling to be happy about the dates!

Baby Number 2

Hey all!

I just wanted to share with someone that I tested positive today for baby number 2!
I cannot believe this is happening.
I only have the coil taken out 4 and a half weeks ago!
Fingers crossed it makes it to term 🤞🤞.

I can't quite believe it!

Pregnancy anxiety

Is anyone suffering from strong anxiety? Pre pregnancy I was an anxious person and I feel it’s just got worse during pregnancy! I know deep down that my baby is fine and that I trust my body but I cannot stop the “what it” questions. Does anyone have any tips to get through this as I know stress and worry isn’t good for the baby either. Thanks! x
