Jabs in this heat?

Baby is due her final set of jabs tomorrow morning, but I'm wondering whether to postpone them to next week because of the heat. I think they're less likely to have a fever with the final lot. Anyone else in this situation? It's a half hour walk to the GP as well as I don't drive 😭

My daughter had her 16 weeks ones last week , she’s the worst she’s been, as one the jabs was different , no fevers just not eating full bottles , kicking off every night. Wouldn’t let me pick her up just screaming till she was laid down

Do what you think is best for your baby. It won’t hurt getting them done a week or 2 later x

Mine was absolutely fine after his 16 week jabs, but every baby is different. I can understand why you would be worried given the temperature. Even if they dont get a fever, it wont be nice for either of you if they are generally feeling a bit crap / are more clingy in this weather. But it might be worth ringing the surgery to see when the next appointments are / what the delay could be, because other moms might also try and postpone and there be a lengthier delay than you hoped x

I postponed my baby’s third round as it was just before the last heat wave was expected and I didn’t want to add any undue discomfort when it can be pushed back. I called up to ask if it’d cause any problems to delay but they said it wouldn’t and she can have her next ones on schedule so I pushed them back a week.

Heya, I’m in the same position, due to have jabs on Thursday when it’s gonna be 38oC. I’m gonna postpone as it’ll be too hot to walk to the surgery and I don’t think I will be able to deal with any additional fussiness x

16 week ones don’t make them get a temp it’s jsut the 1st 2 what do. But it’s upto you. My little boy had his 3 weeks ago and he was fine x

Memory loss?

I just woke up and I was co-sleeping with my 5 month old baby in my bed … I have no memory of putting him there. When I got him to sleep earlier on I had placed him in his crib and I remember seeing him still in his crib when I went to sleep. I read up it could be because people get sleep deprived but I don’t feel that was the case for me. Yes I was tired when I fell asleep but definitely not sleep deprived. I just don’t remember getting up and moving him into my bed. I don’t do drugs or drink and I’m on no medication.

Has this happened to anyone before? I’m freaking out so much as I can’t remember it at all! He’s back safely in his crib now but now I’m stressed about the whole situation

Sleeping with baby on chest

Have any of you tried sleeping at night with baby on chest? My 6 week old baby has been a really good cot sleeper but tonight she just seems frightened after a few mins of being in the cot (I have no idea why!). She sleeps for ages on the chest in the day but I've been reluctant to do it at night as guidance advises otherwise...

Has anyone tried the diaper bags that turn into a makeshift bassinet?

I've been seeing these types of diaper bags that expand out to become a makeshift bassinet for the baby. Has anyone tried one? Is it worth it?

Is anyone’s baby sleeping through the night yet?

My son is 2 months old. He’s still waking up 2-3 times a night to eat. At what point did your baby go down to one night feed or start sleeping through the night? I have to go back to work in a month and I’m worried. I’m not sleeping well between feeds and pumping.

Wide awake!

Here I am wide awake whilst my 2 week old is sound asleep… so frustrating! I am just laying here worried about the heat and also seems my husband has some kind of sickness bug 😓

2 month old sleep

My son is 11 weeks old. Sleep is the hardest thing for us, specifically sleeping independently. I can’t get him to nap in his crib and he only wants contact naps. At night he will sleep maybe a 4 hour stretch in his bassinet (though his bedtime is inconsistent right now), wake up for a bottle, and then he won’t go back into his bassinet for the rest of the night. I don’t necessarily want to cosleep (even though he sleeps from roughly 10:30-4 and then 5-8 if he does), but we can’t get good rest otherwise. It’s just that I miss my bed with my husband and just want our space back. Does anyone have any advice for naps or bedtime?
