First baby and just want to kinda hear other mums opinions based on this.. I have family who have kids who later have autism and other stuff and they believe it’s linked to the vaccines given… I’ve done my own personal research but still in two minds about it all.

My son has autism and I always find that comment soooo offensive 😩 Autism is thought to be mostly genetic

Please vaccinate your children! Measles is so dangerous and is coming back because of thoughts like this that are completely unproven!

I’m assuming as you have done your own research that you have come across the huge Danish study from 2002 looking at over half a million children which found no association with the MMR vaccine and autism.

I am also assuming if you have done your research that the ‘vaccines cause autism’ rhetoric largely stems from Wakefield’s study (which was I think only on a sample size of 12) but has since been retracted, as investigations found Wakefield falsified results and had conflicts of interest (paid by lawyers suing manufacturers of the vaccine). Wakefield has since been struck off the medical register.
I don’t think there has been any large peer-reviewed scientific study conducted that supports any vaccines causing autism.

Autism is definitely something you're born with. People like to blame vaccines causing autism as you tend to see traits at around the same time kids are giving there vaccinations. So people put 2 and 2 together but get 6. Mealses is on the rising and we have actually lost our herd immunity to it due to the lack of up take in vaccinations.
