Fussy baby

Hi! I’m having such a hard time with my 5 week old. I feel like if she’s awake she isn’t happy unless she’s eating. We’ve tried mylicon and gripe water to see if it’s gas, but neither helped. Yesterday she cried any time she was awake. She normally sleeps 3 hour stretches and last night was up every hour to eat. It’s taking a toll on me and making me feel like I’m constantly doing something wrong. I’m not sure if she’s colic because it’s not consistent. She will have like 2 good days, then the next day or two she’s back to crying non stop.

You’re going a great job mama! I wonder if it’s purple crying? Also sometimes babies just cry.

i'm feeling the same way! My baby is a month old. I looked it up and it says that they are going through a growth spurt from 4 to 6 weeks! So just might be a little extra fussy!

My 5 week old has been the same and he fights sleeping so it can take me hours sometimes to get him to fall asleep. I read that they’re going through a growth spurt right now and their senses are heightening which is overwhelming for them. There’s not to much to do about it just soothe them and contact nap a lot, skin to skin, I read to try put them to sleep in a dark room so they can’t see a bunch of things to get them less stimulated. Really just a growth spurt and that it will happen again around 8 weeks.

I know this won’t feel helpful but with my first I would worry over every little thing and with this one things have been easier when I remind myself that sometimes there isn’t a reason for this stuff, it’s just my baby doing baby things. They are changing so rapidly during this time that really nothing can be expected, your baby could be a totally different baby by tomorrow. Between 4-6 weeks they are also going through a major growth spurt. Fussiness and cluster feeding is all pretty normal, it’s always possible that it’s reflux or colic but colic is a pretty severe thing.

My 6 week old girlie does the exact same thing, and we can’t figure it out either. I wish I had helpful advice but atleast you know you’re not alone!! 😵‍💫🥰

Idk if you follow wonder weeks but babies typically go through their first developmental leap at 5 weeks and it can last 1-2.
My baby is 6 weeks and the past two days I have had to hold him basically all day. He will sleep with me holding but the moment I lay him down he is wide awake. And before he was napping perfectly.

My little girl 🥺🥺

I'm fully convinced my girl has cmpa

If anyones children has it, please please could you tell me if this sounds like cmpa as I'm trying to build evidence for the doctors. She's 4 weeks old so they're struggling to find what it is due to an immature digestive system.

She struggles to poop. Like she will go bright red, you can see her trying to push with her little belly getting tense while she does it 🥺
When she poo has passed, it's very mucusy, very liquidy and has also had blood in it 3 times. (Told the doctors but she said it could just be the trauma from the bowl with pushing so much and so hard)

She spits up constantly, even after being winded. Sometimes projectile. Sometimes half digested spit up, chunky like cheese and sometimes fresh milk comes straight back up.

She's extremely gassy, very easy to wind after feeding. This little girl toots like no other baby.

Also, she's breastfed. Very occasionally given breast milk in a bottle but probably only 5 times since she was born.

I've cut all dairy from my diet for the past 3 days and I'm seeing an improvement in her skin already. No change in the nappies yet but hopefully soon! (I'm lactose intolerant but I'm addicted to cheese so suffering with the pain was worth it!😂)

Sorry for the long message. I had to deal with issues with lactose and having a sore belly my whole life. It's horrible and I don't want this for my little girl.
I'll do anything to make her comfortable again😭🥺

Water to infant?

We are currently having a horrible heat wave and my partners mum suggested we give my 3 month old water? Personally I don’t want to as I didn’t think they were supposed to at the age, but she insists only a little amount to “quench” his thirst. We combination feed but more breast than formula and I believe that breast milk has water in it? Correct me if I’m wrong. Anyways should i be giving him like a tea spoon of water for hydration, especially in 30 degree heat? Or is milk enough on its own?

Anyone else

Hey, my little on is 10 weeks old this week. He’s finally starting sleeping in his next to me!! (He slept on my chest at night for the first 8 weeks 😅).
Since having a tongue tie revision and being prescribed gaviscon, he now goes in his swaddle at 7-7:30 and into his next to me, he then sleeps till 1-2am (what a dream). However when he’s been fed and put back down he will sleep soundly for 40 mins then will be wriggling around but his eyes are closed and he isn’t crying. I wind him and sit up for 20 mins after his feed. Does anyone else’s LO do this? Is it normal? Is he just in a light sleep and should I just leave him until he cries?

I hate my Stokke YoYo pram! 😭😅

We got this pram mainly based on recommendations from other mum friends. Felt like the perfect pram as its cabin compatible, and we didn’t want a seperate travel pram so this is our everyday pram. After using it for a year, I hate it! The basket underneath is hard to access because of the pram frame and SO small. I find myself on my knees in the shopping centre trying to stuff my things under there. Super annoying.

The 6 month seat, even when in upright position, I find my baby slouching and sliding off the seat constantly. Oh and she’s figured out how to unbuckle the belt lol. It also doesn’t recline fully.

Opening and closing it is a hassle. It’s super fidgety, and the button underneath the seat is hard to access. After experience, I think I would prefer one that you can open and close with one hand.

So I’ve decided to sell my pram and I want to get something else that fits our lifestyle better.

Any recommendations for a cabin compatible pram, that reclines fully for naps, opens and closes with one hand and has an easy to access and larger basket underneath please x
