Vaccinations

Tried booking my daughters vaccinations a couple weeks ago and they couldnt do it because of the calendar. Got the text yesterday saying I could call and book now, and they cant do her 8 week vaccinations until shes almost 12 weeks old! So will all her vaccinations now be 4 weeks late? Was hoping to do some bits with her after shed had the first lot, which aren't happening any time soon. So now have to rethink all of those plans. Dying to get her out places, and not be stuck in the house. Anybody else had this happen?

Ours aren’t til 10 weeks - yes they’ll all be delayed so they’re 4 weeks apart. But think this is okay from the doctor’s perspective.

You can still take your child out of the house before they’ve had their vaccinations, it’s just recommended to not be in really crowded places or to let lots of people hold them before they’ve had them!

If you’re wanting to see people, just make sure no one is ill or showing any signs of becoming ill, and that everyone sanitises their hands before touching or holding your baby x

I've had the opposite, I recieve a letter in the post from my gp with our postpartum check up and her 8 weeks jabs already booked in and on the day she turns 8 weeks on the dot. Crazy how different gps do things.

Kissing babies 😩

(For context my son is in the NICU!)

Yesterday my mother in law kissed our son 😩😩 I was so shocked as I thought everyone knew you don't kiss a new baby let alone one born 3 months early and is in the NICU 😭😭 I did say to her "op, I don't think you're allowed to do that" and she apologised but I didn't want to make a scene or make it awkward as it was just me and her there, but I think she only thinks the no kissing applies to the NICU and not for when we're home aswell 😩

I told my husband but (no offence) as a man he didn't even know about this rule!! I have told him before especially when explaining about the RSV vaccine in pregnancy but baby was born so early I didn't have the chance to get that vaccine 😩

Not sure what I want from this post other than to rant 😩

Sleep 😫

Does anyone else’s little one struggle with sleep or start waking super early? Our little boy used to go to bed around 7.30pm and wake around 6–6.30am at best. But for the last 3–4 weeks he’s been waking anytime between 4.45–5.15am, which is getting pretty exhausting 😩

He’s 12.5 months old — could it be the heat, an age thing/sleep regression?

Night time nappies

I’m looking for tried and tested night time nappies as I’m losing my mind with the overnight leaks 😩
My little boy is now moving into size 3-4 depending on the brand and I feel since we’ve gone up a size, I can’t seem to find a nappy that doesn’t leak. He’s wet through then he struggles to go back to sleep after. Ive tried Tesco and Asda so far. Bonus points for budget friendly!

Mastitis

So I have mastitis, I went to the doctor today and she gave me an antibiotic and recommended sunflower lecithin. I picked up both. I'm the mean time i still need to pump. I have a hand pump and a wearable. The wearable was giving me an indent on my areola for like 15 mins after I took it off. Does anyone know anything I can do to help with the pain? While the meds kick in?
