TTC

My kid turns five this year and I don't know if I can keep trying. How in the world do people try for several years?

Backstory, I did not get diagnosed with PCOS until recently, at 28 years old. November I started metformin which made my cycles more regular than how they were every few months. I had surgery in February where they went in to check on a polyp which...vanished. However, they did say my uterus looked healthy and both tubes are open. Since then, my cycles have been a little longer and I've been using ovulation strips everyday to track my ovulation. And then feel absolutely defeated when I get my period.
Originally my husband and I said we wanted a three to four year gap but at this point it will be like a six year gap. Kid goes to kindergarten in 2027 and it will either be me homeschooling because I will have another baby or, putting in public school so I can go to work.

I just don't know how some of you try for years when at the end of every cycle I feel like giving up especially feeling like I should be grateful for the one I already have....which was not prevented but also a surprise due to irregular cycles.

PCOS mama of 2 here ( 5 year old turning 6 this month and 11 months old). I had my boys at 34 and 39. I was on Metformin and then completed 3 cycles of Clomid to get pregnant second time. I was tracking meticulously my ovulation and scanned it in an app for better readings. I took Coq10 and DHA fish oil prior pregnancy and prenatal.

Clomid is prescription medication to help with ovulation. Coq10 to help with egg quality.

My husband and I tried for 9yrs with losses, tests, treatments and surgeries.
Last year, we stopped trying, had sex maybe once a week, focused on work and life, my periods.. well I had 2 and found myself to be pregnant in December.
I’m now 35 weeks.

Stopping with trying and focusing on what we have helped so much. No stress, no thinking about it all… and it happened.
