Steriliser

Which steriliser is everyone planning on using?

I’m planning on breastfeeding and pumping so my partner can help (also use formula if need be). We formula fed my first baby and we had the Tommee Tippee steam steriliser and Mam bottles that were self sterilised in the microwave. However, I’ve decided to go with glass bottles this time around and will also obviously need to sterilise pump parts, dummies etc. I did not like the TT steam one at all so I’m thinking of getting a UV one this time around.

I’ve looked at the TT UV one and the Nuby Benchtop steriliser, has anyone used either? Are they definitely safe for baby?

I breastfed my first and just had a steriliser for my pump and occasional bottles, I used a bucket with Milton tablets and that was definitely easiest for us

The rinsing thing is new since I last used it, I need to look into that and try and work out why it changed. We just had a bottle drying rack and I popped everything straight onto that to dry and it was absolutely fine, tbh even with rinsing it won't be much trickier.
I started off with a steam steriliser which was just a pain as you could barely fit anything in compared to the bucket

I was never told that about bottles and definitely didn't do it beforehand, they'd never get dry with any steam based sterilising method if they got put together straight away?
Tbh I'm not overly concerned, sterilisation is way more important for formula than it is for breast milk, a lactation consultant I saw last time sent me some research suggesting hot soapy water is fine for bottles/breast pumps if they've only been used for breast milk. I will still be sterilising for the first 6 months but I won't get too worried over it.

Nap location during the day

Where do people put their baby to sleep during the day?

She’s outgrowing her Moses basket at 16 weeks, and think she hates sleeping in anything she can touch the sides of.

Any ideas other than her pram? She wakes in that too because of the sides.

Has anyone ever faked a pass ouy or death?

I usually do different emergency things that could happen with my kids and yesterday I only had my 2yo son and 3yo daughter i pretend to have fainted (im 36 weeks pregnant) My daughter was on her device so she really didn't pay me any mind but my 2yo kept calling me and opening my eye lid thats when my 3yo came over looked at me and said "mom can you put this code in?" Lmao 🤣 do I need something more realistic or something for her?

Sleep

Why won’t my baby sleep past 5:00am!!😩 he’s 4 months old and I think we are right in the sleep regression but he hasn’t really gone past 5:00/5:30 ever! His bedtime is normally 7:30, but this doesn’t matter as if we are out and come home a bit later he still wakes up at the crack of dawn!! Anyone the same?

Dramatic?

Hate even talking about this but I am a FTM really struggling. I cry most days and was recently diagnosed with PPD. My partner knows this as I am open and honest with him. He has been so supportive and helps with everything regarding me and baby. However, yesterday I saw that on his Instagram he was looking at videos of half naked girls. I’m honestly so upset and I know it’s not really “wrong” but feeling the lowest I have ever felt and postpartum and knowing that’s what he was looking at really hurt me. Am I being dramatic?
