Which steriliser is everyone planning on using?
I’m planning on breastfeeding and pumping so my partner can help (also use formula if need be). We formula fed my first baby and we had the Tommee Tippee steam steriliser and Mam bottles that were self sterilised in the microwave. However, I’ve decided to go with glass bottles this time around and will also obviously need to sterilise pump parts, dummies etc. I did not like the TT steam one at all so I’m thinking of getting a UV one this time around.
I’ve looked at the TT UV one and the Nuby Benchtop steriliser, has anyone used either? Are they definitely safe for baby?

I breastfed my first and just had a steriliser for my pump and occasional bottles, I used a bucket with Milton tablets and that was definitely easiest for us

The rinsing thing is new since I last used it, I need to look into that and try and work out why it changed. We just had a bottle drying rack and I popped everything straight onto that to dry and it was absolutely fine, tbh even with rinsing it won't be much trickier.
I started off with a steam steriliser which was just a pain as you could barely fit anything in compared to the bucket

I was never told that about bottles and definitely didn't do it beforehand, they'd never get dry with any steam based sterilising method if they got put together straight away?
Tbh I'm not overly concerned, sterilisation is way more important for formula than it is for breast milk, a lactation consultant I saw last time sent me some research suggesting hot soapy water is fine for bottles/breast pumps if they've only been used for breast milk. I will still be sterilising for the first 6 months but I won't get too worried over it.
