The aftermath of an early miscarriage

Hi,

There’s no question or purpose to this apart from a rant 🤦🏻‍♀️
So I would of been nearly 11 weeks today but last weekend it was confirmed that I had a sac for a 10 week fetus but it seemed the baby had not got past 6 weeks and was just not there anymore.
I’ve been waiting all week for like some sort of period or big bleed and nothing. I know I’m definitely not pregnant anymore as I just don’t feel pregnant. I have another follow up scan tomorrow so I guess I can get more answers then but I guess it’s called a missed miscarriage? I don’t know but I just want my body to just have the period and move on from all of this instead I feel like I’m just stuck in limbo.
I’ve also been off all week from work and they’ve been really kind and understanding. Apart from my bosses and my friends at work no one else knows. However, there’s a few nosey buggers that keep pestering people I’m close with at work to see why I’m off and it’s honestly pissing me off. Like they’re guessing like I am / was pregnant and asking people if I’ve lost it. These are people I am not close with at work and it feels so fucked up to be gossiping about something like this. I’ve even been told about a comment about me looking ‘fatter’ and that’s why they asked if I was pregnant. I’m possibly back next week and that’s the bit I’m dreading, people getting in my face and making some spectacle out of my baby that didn’t make it.

Im so sorry, it's horrible and the being in limbo makes it worse. Have your Early Pregnancy Unit got a plan for you on how to manage things? I only ask because with my missed miscarriage i wanted to go the surgical route and wasnt allowed because I had pneumonia. So I waited and even after a month, nothing had happened naturally. It goes like that sometimes unfortunately and waiting doesnt always seem to work.

For the colleagues, if it was me I would ask one trusted person to shut it down so you dont end up with those kinds of questions when you go back - that's the last thing you need.
