My baby does NOT like tummy time.. it doesn’t matter what type of entertainment he has he just cries or lie down… WHAT can I do to make him feel more stable on his tummy?

You can do tummy time on your chest if that helps 🙂

I did it by lying back a bit with my legs up a bit (kind of like the yoga boat pose) and put baby tummy down on my legs looking at me and if he got bored of seeing me I’d switch him from my shins to my thighs so he was facing the other way and we watched a baby sensory and sang nursery rhymes or described what pictures he was looking at so it was more interactive. Idk if i explained that very well so I apologise in advance 😅

**Tummy time on your chest
Lean back 45° on the couch or bed, place him on your chest, and talk/sing. Even 2–3 minutes counts.
**Roll a blanket and put under him (under chest area)
**put him on your legs
Sit with your knees up and lay him across your thighs, tummy down.
**Do “tummy time without the tummy”
•Babywearing (upright strengthens neck)
• Holding him upright on your shoulder
• Supported sitting on your lap
** Use movement as motivation
Babies lift their heads more when something interesting is happening.
Try:
• Singing
• Talking close to his face
• A high‑contrast card
• A rattle you move side to side
My LO did not like tummy nor has she ever. Keep sessions short 30-60 seconds throughout the day does wonders, he’ll progress to longer sessions with time. If he begins to cry and fussy just stop and wait for him to calm down. You don’t want to build a negative association with tummy time.

Tummy time doesn’t have to be on a blanket on the floor(: it would be ideal bc it’d give you a break of course.
Try lying baby on you chest while they examine your face while you lie down.
Try doing tummy time on your lap while you sooth them.
Try laying them tummy down on your forearm while you pace or sway them
