Induction or not induction
Hey, I am turning 40 weeks tomorrow and I have a feeling that this baby will take her time ahah.
I am in a limbo with I cannot go any longer as I have gained so much weight and fed up with it, with but what if she was so cloooose to come and labour would actually be super quick if I wait it out?
Anyways, I had an induction with my first and didn't find it that bad, so I guess it's harder for me to have a super strong opinion about it. The only down side was my 3rd degree tear, which I think I have 99% recovered from.
Anyways, anyone going to just let themselves go into labour naturally? Would you have a cut of time?
Also for me my helping network is likely to be present this month rather than the next one, so I think it's playing a bit on my mind too! And the fact that I had knee surgery and did so many efforts to get to full recovery with it, but having put on so much weight it's making my joints super clickey. I said to myself I would go to 41 and then take induction I think.

Happy due date twin! 🩷 we are trying some sweeps this week, hoping she comes naturally but if not getting induced at 41 weeks. Its very personal and I don't think anyone should be judged on their choices!
I have been suffering with pgp since around 20 weeks and my knee condition is becoming unstable now too! And its just my personal decision. Whatever you choose will be right for you!
40+3 here (first time mum). I have my first sweep on Thursday, scan booked for Sunday, second sweep if needed next Tuesday then induction if needed on 30th..I know I could have refused induction but for me I feel more comfortable knowing things will get started before 42 weeks. (I'll be 41+5 on induction day)
I've had zero signs so far so not feeling hugely hopeful for first sweep
Wow I feel like I could have written this post myself!! I’m also due tomorrow, and was inducted with my first and had a good experience but also had a 3rd degree tear!!
I’ve been in the same predicament,
I’m desperate to get this baby out now but really want to just experience going into spontaneous labour on my own🥹 I think I am going to opt for an induction if I get to 41 weeks! But praying I go into labour before then, I’ve got an appointment on Friday for a sweep! Do you think you’ll have sweep this week? X
