Bedtime

What time are people putting their baby to bed in an evening/starting a night time routine? My 11 week old refuses to go down before 11pm and gets herself so overtired. Feel like we've tried everything to get her down before then, usually she falls asleep about 8pm but only for 30 mins then is wide awake again until 11pm/12am, really struggling with what to do.

My LO is also 11 weeks old. We start her nighttime routine about 8:15pm because she’s starting to get ratty and tired. She’s then asleep by about 9pm. We do bottle down stairs, up stairs, creamed and sleep bad on, give her a dummy and pat her bum with white noise ☺️

Mine is 9 weeks, I find a bedtime routine has really helped - we started at around 6 weeks and it’s now very smooth (hoping it stays this way!).
- I cap last nap so she won’t sleep past 5ish as she needs about 2 hours of wake time to build enough sleep pressure for the night.
- I also try to get enough calories into her during the day so she will do longer stretches at night. Eg yesterday she fed at 7, 10, 12, 2, 4.30, &6 then slept 9 hours.
- I breastfeed when she wakes from last nap and play then bath around 6pm. Then a bottle around 6.20 - swaddle and dummy into bed where she puts herself to sleep by 7.
- Sometimes she will false start and wake around 30 mins later but if she isn’t crying I let her wriggle it out and she puts herself back to sleep for the night.

Tracking helped me figure out her usual wake windows etc to make bedtime as smooth as possible and now it’s pretty clockwork. Mine seem to thrive on consistency but depends on your style of parenting really!
