If you’re a single mom living in Houston on your own, how do you afford it t?
I’m a first time single mom and I am struggling to figure out how to afford living on my own for me and my baby.
Rent is looking like 60% of your income instead of 30 and that’s for a decent place. So that leaves nothing left for quite frankly anything. Then the waitlist for housing assistance will take five years for them to even look at your application so it’s like what options are really out there?
I would love to know how some of y’all are doing it or at least making it work.
