Stressing depressing and hoping for a blessing
My due date is 25 of July (in 2 days) and my doctor was on sickness leave so I had some other doctors look at me for my weekly schedule appointments for weeks 37-39 . Both times they were male doctors , they were talking to me like I’m stupid and also want to force me to get a c section. They told me to go have one on week 39+1 and I refused. Now they scheduled me for my due date without any further delay. They say it’s my fault my womb keeps my baby too high . Also they refuse to put me in picotin in hopes for natural labor, which is what I had planned till week 37 . And honestly I’m so stressed, baby is fine and head down , all her Dopplers are exceptionally good and she is in a great weight scale. They won’t let me refuse further and they are already treating me horribly. They say they make me a favor and let me wait till week 40 so I won’t miss my “experience “ . Also they found a pretty stupid reason to get back on me for not agreeing on the first c section date and they informed me I won’t be able to see my baby for at least 1 hour after the c section . Bc I have eye sight problems (????) so I won’t get to breast feed her or have golden hour . I feel like I’m drowning honestly and I can’t find joy in anything these last days .

I would recommend getting a doula, it was nice to have a second opinion and have someone advocate for you
I had to have a c-section last min because my kid decided to breach while I was in labour but I was still able to have my son on my chest as soon as he was born while they sewed me up.
I'd put a formal complaint in about them, if they're not listening to you. However, I am aware that Greece has some strangely high c section rate. I don't know why I know this, but isn't it the highest rate in the world? Or close to. If I were you, I'd probably research why. Because if it's for a reason like lack of midwives for example, I'd probably push for one for safety reasons. Safety for you and the baby. If something goes wrong, you will want a team around you. After my midwife told me that 85 percent of vaginal births get stitches, I opted for a c section (to get mine in a nicer sounding place). It's the best decision I ever made. I know it's not what you want, but if it comes down to it, I hope this helps to reassure you. I had a very good painless recovery. But keep pushing for what you want. Good luck 🤞
