Early pregnancy anxiety

Hi ladies, I’ve just found out I’m a little over 6 weeks pregnant and I’ve done 2 pregnancy tests and have my first F2F appointment with the midwife next month. But I’m feeling really anxious, I had a missed miscarriage last year and I’m terrified of it happening again, what can I do?

I went through a missed miscarriage and then a successful pregnancy after. I did a few little things a friend suggested (occasional acupuncture, took baby aspirin during first trimester, took Coq10 for egg quality - sorry I am not a doctor so shouldn't recommend but that's what I did). I was still so anxious my second pregnancy but at least I did a few things differently that made me feel things might go differently. Next pregnancy was successful so something worked! I also did a lot of relaxing vs the unsuccessful pregnancy I was extremely busy plus still working out so that's another change I did

She’s here!

Predicted to be just shy of 8lbs…

6lbs 11oz 🩷 and now we don’t have enough baby clothes to fit 😝

They couldn’t remove my ovarian cyst due to complications but, at least she’s out and we are both ok after being in surgery for what seemed like for ages!

Labour Guests

I’ve been talking to my sister about when I’m in labour and who I would want in the delivery room, which is just under 20 weeks away.
It’s my first baby and I honestly have no clue what to do because I want it to be me and my partner alone, but then I would also like my mum there because it is my first, and my mum was there for my sisters first and I want her to be there when im having the baby. But she can get a bit too much sometimes and I don’t want her to be stressing me out more than I probably already will be. Is there away for my mum to be there but come in only when I call her in or ?

Please help 😅🥲

Strange colour discharge or normal?

I’m 37 weeks and this is the colour of my discharge today (ignore the blood- it was from a shaving cut!)

Confused

As my due date is getting closer, I’m so confused on what I want to do. Had a previous 3b tear and was set on elective c section but now I’m worried I’m doing the wrong thing and maybe I should just try naturally and hope I don’t tear again. What’s everyone’s experience on a planned c section? I’ve heard the recovery is nasty

Elective C-section - Would you be concerned

I'm feeling a bit all over the place after my consultant appointment this morning.

This is my third baby and due to previous complications, will be my third C-section. I have a history of large babies (not picked up in growth scans), hemorrhage during delivery (happened with my 1st) and sensitivity to spinal block (basically goes way too high).

Because of this, third baby has been consultant led and throughout I've been told C-section will need to take place between 38-39 weeks so that I don't risk going into labour and to avoid a big baby.

Today at my 36 week scan, I asked again when the C-section date would be and I was told they can only give me a provisional date (which they are suggesting is over 39 weeks). But they stressed this may be moved back/won't be confirmed until the week of the section in case they get emergencies.

I was in the room when my consultant was talking to the booking team and she kept saying, we cannot let her go past 39 weeks.

The upshot is the new provisional date is now 39 weeks exactly but they stressed this is very likely to be pushed back because the booking team don't view me as particularly risky

I feel really stressed about a) not knowing, b) potentially going against the guidance I've been given all pregnancy because they are busy.

What do you think? Is this something I should accept or should I keep pushing back?
