Sad and feel alone during pregnancy

My husband loves me, but he keeps avoiding difficult topics. I’m always the one who closes the issue so I can move on, but now that I’m pregnant with our first child, I’m so exhausted that he never approaches me. He did approach me on the very first day of the fight, but I couldn’t talk about it. I expect him to approach me the next morning or night to close the issue and talk about it, but it’s been 10 days already, and he’ll be gone for two days and two nights for work, so it’ll be two weeks. He acted like nothing happened. He kissed and said goodnight, but he never talked about how I feel because I never responded to all his kisses and goodnights. So he can asked why im acting like that but He doesn’t care! I don’t understand. I want to make my own life, but I don’t have friends. We’re new in town, and I don’t have a job because I resigned because I can’t work due to the risk of pregnancy.

I don’t know what to do!

Sorry about that

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, that’s so incredibly hard. I highly recommend couples counselling as life is only going to get harder once the baby gets here. If you’re already feeling resentment towards him now, you need to put some work in as a couple to make sure your needs are being met.

Also, have you told him how you feel? So often our conflicts are caused by assumptions that they can read our minds which unfortunately they can’t. I’ve fallen into this many times with my own husband.

In the meantime as well, look into some local mom/womens groups that may offer some support. Community centres and libraries often have some things too!

Sending you love and strength! 🩷🩷
