Hi, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience!
My little one has just turned one and seems to have suddenly started taking a reaction to sunflower oil. We use the 1cal spray so it doesn’t get too greasy but these reactions were from her eating sweet potato cut into chips and sprayed with the spray. The reaction came up immediately and had no other symptoms (no vomiting or anything like that - she had other allergies previously so have had some experience in allergic reactions). It also goes away within 30 minutes after we have wiped her face and there are no other symptoms anywhere else.
It’s only happened the last two or three times she’s eaten something cooked in this, however we have put it down to other things. Has anyone had any experience with this? Just looking for a bit of guidance!
Thanks!

Aerosolized oil spray is an industrial, highly processed product that is incredibly inflammatory to humans! Your baby is probably just extra sensitive to this. I’d switch to whole fats and oils that haven’t been processed. Cold, expeller pressed is best, as oils go rancid quickly if they’re processed. Coconut oil, olive oil, grass fed butter, ghee, beef tallow, etc. are your best options. But also…make sure she doesn’t have a nut allergy, as I’m sure a nut oil may set off a histamine response if she’s indeed allergic.
We have tested for a nut allergy and have had no reactions so far and she has had it several times so I’ll definitely switch. I feel rotten, but thankfully she doesn’t seem too bothered by it but obviously don’t want anything more sinister to come about
