I mean, this is definitely not a “one size fits all” situation.

We aren’t married, our kids have his last name. I also plan on changing mine if we decide to push the wedding. But I’d rather not do three name changes, so they for his at birth and now the only legal name change I have to worry about is mine.

We’re pretty secure in our relationship and it’s never even a thought in our mind to separate for any reason.

Like Caitlin said theres isnt a one size fits all for this.
First few months of dating and getting to know each other, fall pregnant. Then its definitely a mum surname situation. Been together years, live together, just not married or anything legal but stable relationship. Put whoevers surname possible.
My parents were engaged so all us kids too my dads surname. They didnt get married until i was 10. At that point they had a 16 year old, 10 year old, 9 year old and a 6 year old all with my dads surname.
Me and my partner have been together 9 years all my kids have his surname. If we werent together so long to begin with. I wouldnt of given my kids his surname

I personally hateee hyphenated names lol

Our daughter has dad's last name, we were engaged when she was born.

DONT HYPHENATE. As someone who married a hyphen it is absolutely a giant pain in the ass in the US. My oldest isn’t my husbands. He was given his father’s last name. I’m pretty traditional about that kind of thing. His dad will always be his dad.

Pregnant again

So I'm a FTM 5.5months PP and just found out I'm pregnant again! We did a private early scan and estimated to be 5+5 at the moment. Absolutely not planned this time (although we did always want another one, just not this soon!)
Anyone else been in the same boat and can tell me it'll all be okay?! Freaking out a bit here! 🙈

Final growth scan update 💜

I had my final growth scan this past Thursday!

At my appointment on Tuesday…
My midwife struggled to feel where the baby was and thought they might be head up… so even she thought that's ‘breech’ so I booked a private scan just to be absolutely sure.

I’m so happy to say — baby’s head has been down the whole time! 😂💜 Exactly where they should be, ready to come any day now… my due date is 14 August 🥹

Baby is in perfect health and weighs 6 lb 11 oz — growing beautifully 💪✨

I’ve let the midwives know, especially since it really felt like she was pushing me towards the hospital againg and talking about needing a section when there was actually nothing to worry about at all!

This is when I was worried, in case, but definitely going ahead with my home birth exactly as planned
🥹💜💜💜

So relieved!!!!
My body knows exactly what it’s doing.
Everything’s ready…
Just waiting for our baby to decide when it’s time 💜

unsure of scan photo?

I had my 12 week scan a couple weeks ago and baby just wasn’t not co operating so they asked me to come back a couple weeks later to which i did yesterday… baby still wasn’t completely playing ball and was faced away and then slightly turned so she could get a little picture, the sonographer got the best picture she could, she was lovely bless her and she said she couldn’t see any concerns but…i’m not sure if it’s the angle or if it’s just be but i feel like babies face just looks a little off like the nose area is very pointy???
i’m just looking for some reassurance. is this normal and it’s just not a great angle or could something be up?

Feeling quite down, is this normal?

Lately I’ve been feeling really down and can’t seem to shake it. Has anyone else gone through this as a mum or during pregnancy? Would love to hear how others have coped or found support.
