ngl i just kept reminding myself that some women have like 5 kids so it can’t be that bad or everyone would be an only child really chilled me out tbh. don’t listen to anyone’s negative birth stories go on tiktok and just search positive birth stories it helps seeing so many people be ok and have good stories cos everyone only shares the bad stuff

I think in the end, the only thing that helped me was thinking that I had no choice but to go through it, so in the end I just came to terms with everything😆 it’s normal to be nervous though!! It is bloody hard, but you get there, and in the end you have the most precious little soul in your arms🥰

im 34 weeks today and this is my second baby but i was induced last time. im nervous about natural labor and that i might not know what it feels like even though i've done it before. ive decided that i cant think of only worst case scenarios tho, its not good for me

I was in labour for 2.5 days and had an emergency C-section and was ill for 2 months pp and I am still up for doing it all over again so I don’t know what to tell you 🤷‍♀️😂

The only time I actually thought ‘yeah I can do this’ was after my epidural after about 9 hours of contractions. A few hours later I had to have the csec.

For me thinking about labour was much scarier than the parts of labour I experienced, I had great midwives who made me feel safe and confident and took great care of me. Somehow you just know what to do and are so busy doing it you are not scared.

I did a free course on hypnobirthing, and it explained each step and how to adjust your breathing for each stage. I think for me, knowing more about what was actually going on made it easier to stay calm.

anyone who’s had their baby…

do you miss being pregnant? I had my baby girl earlier this week and I was getting fed up and so uncomfortable and was glad that I was being induced but today is her due date and I honestly wish I could go back and not rush, she’ll be my last baby and I feel like I didn’t appreciate being pregnant enough😭

How are we all feeling rn

I'm pregnant with baby no.2, my first turns 2 in September and I'm due with no.2 on October 10th. I'm at the point where I'd genuinely rather go through labour back to back 20 times over than do this last stretch of pregnancy 😭😂 anyone else feeling this way??

Possible irritable uterus and pre term labor at 33 weeks

Does anyone is suffering from this ?

I went to the hospital as I felt a stronger pain than usual. I have been dealing with a lot of braxton hicks (a lot) which are uncomfortable not painful and cramps. I have been talking with midwifes which all they say it's normal to keep doing my tasks etc. But I have a toddler and I think it was too much what I was doing. Because now after going to triage they kept me for 24hrs did CTGs to monitor baby, we do see contractions on the monitor but they are painless most of the time and baby seems happy still.
But I have been kept monitorized for the next days and the pre term labor tests they did all seem fine and they told me for 7 days birth is unlikely.
After this I have been feeling quite down emotional and just want to cry. But I am hopeful and I know if it needs to be born it will be alright.
Anyone in the same or similar situation ?

Did your first born get clingy when you fell pregnant with No.2?

Sorry for posting anon, we’ve only just found out that I’m expecting again. I’m only 4 weeks pregnant but my 13 month old is wanting to nurse so much more all of a sudden and is a lot clingier than usual. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, and there’s something else going on developmentally, but I was wondering if any other mamas noticed the same.

Hair loss second trimester

Hi, has anyone else noticed they’re losing a lot more hair than normal? Started around two months ago, seeing clumps of hair on my brush and in the shower (not broken ends, entire strands with follicles). My ponytail feels half the size. I’ve spoken to my midwives and consultant who helpfully advised me “I haven’t really heard of that before”. We conceived via IVF, but recent blood tests show no deficiencies, I’ve been taking vitamins throughout, everything else going well 🤞
Planning to speak to GP and see if any other tests can be done for iron/thyroid levels. Curious if anyone had something similar? Thanks x
