Velcro Baby

My LO is 6 months on Sunday and she is the best thing ever. But she is a bit of a Velcro baby. If I leave her for a few minutes (even with her Nana or dad, she has a meltdown). I had planned to travel for 6 hours at the end of August for an appointment but have had to postpone it as it would mean flying to Manchester and back (from Belfast) and I just can’t handle it if she’s upset the whole time. Does anyone have any advice or is going through this at the moment and can be a good sounding board?

Hopefully this won’t be the case with you but I’ll tell you my experience lol
My Feb 26 baby is super easy going and is happy to be anywhere with anyone. HOWEVER, my 3 year old…..he was the same as yours with everyone. Including my mum, dad, all the family even though they were around from the day he was born. We tried everything and even though he goes to the childminder 5 days a week, he’s still the same. Every time I drop him to my dad or mum comes here and I pop out, it’s a meltdown. Always has been. It’s just his temperament.

The only thing I’d suggest is that you still go ahead with your plans, unless you’re willing to give up anything that doesn’t involve her for the next few years. Because we need our time to recharge. x

Of course this night just be a phase so also keep that in mind xx
