How are we keeping our babies cool
In this heat?
My son was born at 24w+3 (4.5 months actually age, almost 1 month corrected)
He’s been maintaining the recommended temp, well it’s ranging between 36.3 & 36.9 which is still acceptable — anyway I’m worrying about him potentially over heating
As we live in a well insulated (although I beg to differ as our landlady is scum) first floor flat and our bedroom is currently sitting at 30c (lowest it’s got to over night is 25-27c, regardless of having the window open and fan on 😭😭😭😭 was told to take a layer off but then I don’t want him to get cold, given him being an ex preemie, having chronic lung disease (COPD) and being on home oxygen — we’ve already nearly lost him
3 times in separate circumstances. Just wanna find a balance but don’t want to risk him dropping his temp after maintaining.

If he’s maintaining temps of what you’ve stated above then he seems to be coping fine I’d say.
The flat is very hot but as long as air is circulating as best it can, he’s hydrated, weeing good amounts and acting his normal self then try not to worry too much.
I'm in Florida 👹 we keep AC on all day but room temps around 80⁰f 26⁰c im sweating half the day though. So we keep a fan that turns so we don't get too cold or stay too hot at night. My baby was born 33w3d and he hasn't had issues holding temp so of course not the same at all but I normally just leave my baby in one layer.
