Baby Fell Off The Bed: FTM

My baby (7 months) fell off the bed and I feel like a terrible mother. I was getting ready for work and I heard him wake up while I was brushing my teeth but he usually just lays there. Well nope, he crawled to the edge and fell. I’m beating myself about it. I just feel terrible. He’s fine but has a bump on his head. I’ll be watching him carefully for the next 24 hours. I just feel so terrible because I heard him wake up. I could’ve just grabbed him. Lesson learned honestly.

You could always get co-sleeping side panels for the bed! I have that for our bed

From what I’ve heard and what the doctor has said, it happens to most of us and it’s awful but they’re usually okay. Mine fell and his little nose started bleeding a few drops and I felt like the worst mother ever, but he’s happy and healthy and had no serious issues from it. He still tries to throw himself off of everything and thinks it’s funny when I grab him before he can now 😩😅

I fell asleep holding my LG after a feed at 7 days old and accidently dropped her, i was mortified and felt awful and made up a story cos I was scared id have her taken off me! And since she's fell off the bed and sofa so many times and shes fine, my son fell down the stairs yesterday and hes 15 months old, it never ends and we always beat ourselves up, it happens and your not alone!

Mine has fallen off twice 😭once at a similar age to yours and once at 10 months. Both times were in the middle of the night as we co-sleep. He was fine, just cried a bit and then went back to sleep. We are looking at floor beds now
