3rd vaccines

Oh my god am I gunna have a mental breakdown

Baby boy had his third round of vaccines this morning and has not stopped crying / being funny since. The only time he isn’t is when he’s asleep. He’s pretty much slept most of the day (on me of course).

If I hear him cry 1 more time honestly I’m going to loose it. Partner has got him atm for bed time and I’ve locked myself in the toilet.

Partner works nights and is working tonight and omfg I just cantttttttttttttttt

He was fine first vaccine second was a little off but this continuous crying is killing me.

I’ve tried everything other than go outside as it’s hot - we have air con. He’s even crying on the bottle 🥲

Did anyone else experience this???? If so what helped? 🥲

P.S - giving regular calpol (4 hrly)

It's so hard, the only thing I've found helpful other than Calpol was baby wearing as the contact comforts them. He might be able to have nurofen but I am not a medical professional nor have I tried or looked into this, I just know that adults can have both and that nurofen is 3+ months. Make sure nothing is pressing against the injection site or irritating it. Check his temp, monitor his nappies in case he needs medical attention. You're doing what's best for bubba and hopefully it passes soon, the 3rd ones were the quickest recovery for us 🤍

A question for 2nd time mummies and beyond

My social circle is all 1st time mummies with children ranging up to two and we all put a lot of focus on naps. I feel very restricted because of to the expectations I’ve now built up. I was more chill on the nap front a couple of months ago but since she dropped to two naps I’m all “nap this. Nap that” and tbh it’s not my personality at all so missing a bit of myself. I want to do what’s good for her though.

Anyway, how do you do it? It can’t be simple? School runs or clashing naps or bedtime with a toddler. Or have you just let go and say “hey, they’re happy and clearly gets their sleep somewhere”

What would you say to me? - go with it and get out and enjoy life nap worry free? or would you say be grateful for the opportunity to focus on just her and get her naps in? Or a mix of the lot? Do your expectations of yourself and reality add up?

Pls help 🥹

Morning mamas! I’ve found this beautiful dress for an event that I really want to wear. However, I’m breastfeeding, and although the dress looks lovely without a bra, I’d really like to wear one for a bit more support. Does anyone have any suggestions for what type of bra I could wear with it? I’ll have my hair down, so that should cover the back anyway.

Mum Guilt

Hi 🫶🏻

Last night I snapped at my 16 month old daughter she was not settling or going to sleep I was exhausted and had work the next morning she eventually fell asleep at 12am she was fighting her sleep for ages. I just got so irritated and snappy I felt like I just had to put her down and leave the room cos of how mad I was getting. Is this normal.

As soon as she fell asleep I cried myself to sleep and I felt so awful for how I had reacted.
:( I still feel it this morning

Leaking / wasting milk. What are people using.

So while cuddling/ feeling my baby the other breast goes crazy. What are people using to catch the leaks coz my breast pump is to big and awkward, and I don’t want to waste it. It’s so bad that when I’m sat nursing it even goes through my Trousers and knickers. In this heat I’m sometimes oblivious and think I’m just sweating from the excess heat from holding my baby

Also what are people using while they are out and about to stop having embarrassing accident while in public I got some absorbent pads that stick to my bra/ clothes but obviously my breast move around as I go about my day and some times they sift from were the pad is and I get leeks. The other day me and my partner were briefly socialising with friends and I started leaking and used my drink to block the view of my leaky breast, I was mortified.
