I’m at a total loss at the moment. Periods always been meh regular and great. Birthed my 2nd child last November and 4 months pp it’s like a switch flipped and I started being in pain, irregular and extremely heavy. I was booked in for an ultrasound and went on the mini pill to calm things down. I’ve been taking it for 1 month I’ve been on my period for the whole time. Mostly it’s been light but last few days it’s been extremely heavy again. Drs said I need to go on the period delay pill so I can have my ultrasound and get on with finding causes but I’m so upset. My life revolves around my period now. I went to Pilates tonight to relax and I bled through the pad. When will it end I’m honestly so ran down at the moment.

I can relate. Long story short, I was on birth control from 15-27 years old. Went off, had a couple losses then had my two children. Got the IUD briefly then my hubby got the snip. My periods became heavy, very bad cramps in my upper thighs and lower back and getting a period every 14-20 days. Turns out I have adenomyosis. Basically being on birth control for long masked it. I don’t regret it and really the only solution for it is to go back on it.
But anyway, I hope you get answers! It really is miserable dealing with irregular periods!! When is your ultrasound?

Can defo relate. My periods started when I was 17. I didn't have one for a year and it would arrive whenever it wanted so I was put on the combined pill. I came off it as it was giving me terrible migraines and they looked into endometriosis. They gave me the implant which made me bleed continuously until I asked them to take it out. I went on the mini pill and bled daily until I decided to not take any contraception. I went back on the combined pill which made me have a period every month until I conceived my son. I have adenomyosis and a retroverted uterus (it's severely tilted backwards) my periods vary from 30-40 days and I can bleed anywhere between 4 and 10 days. Some are light and others are beyond heavy! I'm so done with being a woman.

Yep. I was on birth control from 19-32 and got no periods. All of a sudden, on the same birth control, I got periods every 2 weeks which lasted for 7 days each.
My doctor gave me meds which make you stop bleeding. Talk to your doctor about it. Think it's called transemic acid or something.
Also make sure you take iron supplement! You'll be losing a lot of iron.
