Sweep or not?

Here for the advice to ..😊

I mean on here i’ve been reading loads of positive experiences, but my sweep was on Friday & I was already 2cm dilated and so far nothing apart from cramps x

Personally, I’m all for a sweep towards the end. I feel it’s the lowest form of intervention. Just a cheeky lil agitation 😂 they’ll be able to tell you how your cervix is looking which I find reassuring too x

I don’t want to vote because it’s completely your choice. I’ve had 2 now, will be 41 wks tomorrow and it’s unclear whether it’s helped, but it’s minimal interference and you get more info about how much progress you’re making which really appealed to me. The first one hurt, and my cervix was sort of in between firm and stretchy at that point. Had one today, much less uncomfortable and midwife said my cervix was softer and stretchier (plus slightly more dilated).

Same boat girl, my 40 week appointment is Thursday and I know they are going to offer a sweep. I too am unsure!

Same here, my appointment will be this Sunday and Im feeling unsure about it as its not a thing in Germany (where I'm from) :/
