Unfortunately, my husband had a cold late last week. We did our best to separate, had him wear a mask, sanitized everything in the house…but our 3MO now has a cough and seemingly the start of a cold. I’m so scared. I hate the way the cough sounds and sometimes I think he has drainage that is making him gag. No fever, no behavior changes. Eating well, plenty of diapers. His usual happy self.
I’m going to take him to sick call in the morning, but I’m just so scared and can’t sleep. Just watching him to make sure OK and alive.
Any tips? Words of advice or assurance? Everything just seems to big and scary when they’re so small.

Sorry to hear that, it must be hard 😔 we thought ours caught a cold and brought him to the dr and it wasn’t. We asked for tips if it was to happen, and they said they are too little to take anything. There’s no such thing as cold and flu medicine etc Tylenol is recommended only if seemingly in pain but they still advise to contact before doing anything at all. They recommended watching for a fever and monitoring baby. Id still recommend you try to get a telehealth visit so dr can reassure you. I find in-person appointments to be disruptive for the baby if and only if avoidable, especially if already sick. Words of reassurance from a crazysuperworried FTM: babies are the most resilient humans ever. Id keep your LO warm. This is what I did with mine, I made him wear this super comfy plushy full length onesie, kept him in my arms, comfort nursed and he was a brand new person within hours. 🥹🙏🏽
