Older sister younger brother
I want to hear with people that have kids in this category. What are their age gaps and how close are they? Or are you an older sis with a little brother, what was it like growing up? Thanks!

Big sister is 4, little brother is 18m. He was born when she was 2.5.
So far it’s been lovely. They are best friends, he’s her little shadow. There’s fights every now and then but it’s always him stealing her “precious things” 🤣 they like the same shows, nap midday together, play shop and cars together. Her new thing is to read to him which is fun to watch. They had a few days apart and she absolutely mothered him when she got back.
Big brother is 14, sister is 10. Next age is 2,9months, and I’m due in Jan.
The 4 year gap was a lot easier, but the 7 year gap, was even easier, except I forgot all about the newborn stage, and behaviors. lol
My brother is 18 months younger than me, and I’m closest with him than I am with my other two sisters.
I was the older sister to a younger brother. There is about 18 months between us. We were close when young but as we went through primary school and in to high school we fought like cat and dog and disliked each other most of the time but underneath that was love. If anyone ever said or did anything to one they took on us both. I think we were just very different people. I remember being dragged all over and standing out in freezing cold watching him for football practice and matches and everything that came with it and I hated sports with a passion so I was miserable and didn't have my own club or hobby which probably brewed a lot of resentment. Everything revolved around the star footballer until I was old enough to be left home alone. I was also sent out to work at 13 and expected to pay bills where as he was given a free ride till 16 and wasnt asked to contribute until 18 so always felt like a lot of unfairness but we still family and look out just not friends
I’m an older sister, my mom had girl girl girl then boy and we all adore our little brother and love that dynamic, also he is truly the cutest and most empathetic feminist man now because he didn’t have a choice and we humbly beat that into him 😌 and now I have two girls and a boy and I’m so happy my boy is the younger one
