Smoking during pregnancy

I am a first time mom, 21 years old and I live in Oklahoma. I cut back on my thc intake as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I maybe take 2-4 hits of a joint per day just to force myself to eat. I am down 15 lbs from my pregnancy weight and my doctor has been trying everything to get me to keep food down. I’m on two different nausea meds now and they only help so much. I have not had an easy pregnancy to say the least but I am 24 weeks along and baby girl is growing and healthy in the 69th percentile.

I wanted to quit smoking around my first trimester but as the days went on my symptoms got more and more extreme. This week I have pulled ribs from how much I’ve been vomiting. I have history with eating disorders as well so it’s a mental and physical battle. Smoking is the only thing that has allowed me to eat and keep my food down, however I am approaching my third trimester and I am quitting. I just have so much anxiety about Oklahoma and their laws. I’m worried about the chance of my baby testing positive at birth even if I stop before 26 weeks, and I am also worried about how the heck I’m going to keep food down.

When is it logical to stop smoking? Have I waited too long? And does anyone have experience with the process for testing at birth in Oklahoma? Does anyone have recommendations of what I can do to help keep food down and gain weight during pregnancy?

If anyone has any feedback or advice for me, please. And please be kind. I’m trying to do what’s best for myself and my baby while keeping my head on right.

hey girl! i’m so sorry you’re struggling
i’ve also had a long history of eating disorders and was extremely worried about gaining weight while pregnant! i also used to smoke every day to get sleep and to keep food down and actually have an appetite as i also vaped and vaping decreases your appetite!
i don’t know about the laws of Oklahoma however i do know you can get through it with pure mental power!
it was extremely hard to me to sleep when i quit smoking weed, i stoped around week 8-9 as i found out at week 7
and didn’t really have an appetite for a while,
however knowing that you are eating for something bigger than you helped me tremendously, you aren’t eating for yourself you are eating for the betterment and health of your baby, to give them a good healthy life.
i understand throwing up as i was vomiting every single morning through week 11 the way to go is eating small portions of food , greek yougurt drinks helped me lots of protein no chewing involved, pretzels
