KIT days

I am a teacher at a primary school and I am currently on maternity leave and will be until the end of January, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on taking KIT days? I’m thinking of potentially doing the PD days at the start of September and then popping in between September and January. Anyone that has taken KIT days, what did you do when you went in? I haven’t been told which year group I will be returning to yet etc.

I went in to support with small group interventions etc. My maternity leave hit around SATs and PSC so was helping with that. One thing to keep in mind is that if you KIT day is after the 5th of the month it will be on the following months pay e.g 7th Feb will be paid on the end of March. I worked this out completely wrong, may be common sense but something I didn’t consider!
