Potty Training - when to introduce pants?

Potty training since yesterday and going really well so far. Been naked waist down and all wees and poos have gone in the potty, with him telling us beforehand that he needs to go! Just wondering when to introduce pants? Do I wait a bit to keep building his confidence or just go for it? He'll be at nursery on Tuesday morning so ideally want him to feel comfortable before then if he's happy
