Im 39 weeks and hoping mine comes in august still. My eldest is august and i love his birthday because i know he will be off and we can celebrate it

I was hoping this too, I’m due Wednesday so I only had to let her go over due by 5 days. But now I’m being told I need to be induced on my due date due to her growth stopping. So I will be deferring her for joining school, I feel like her being a whole year younger would be setting her up for failure

I really thinks it depends on the personality of each child! I am a August baby and never felt behind ever in school!

My cousin was born 31st august and never struggled in school, down to the individual child.

Whereas my previous brother in law said when he was little as he was 2nd or 3rd of september that he always ended up going back to school on his birthday and most people forgot x

I’m an August baby and I always loved having it off of school (which I never really enjoyed) and always got to spend it with my mum etc! My baby boy is due in two days and I really want him to come in August so we can celebrate our birthdays together🥹 either way! I just can’t wait to meet him I swear this last week has been the longest of the whole pregnancy🥲😂 also how are some people being induced before hand?? If your comfortable sharing ofc, just because my next midwife appointment will be on the 28th which will be 3 days overdue. I’m assuming because I’ve had no issues during pregnancy?? Any advice on why people have or haven’t is appreciated (ftm hence not really knowing what to expect)x

It’s definitely down the to the actual child themselves. I was the youngest in my year. Started at 4 and didn’t turn 5 until the school year had just finished and I was always one of the top in my class throughout all of my school years.

Even is bubs is born in August I’m pretty sure you don’t actually have to send them until they turn 5 if you wish so you can always just see how they’re doing closer to the time if you’re feeling anxious about sending them at 4 x

Yes 100%! Will make it a lot easier with school!
Also I am not ready (the house is upside down) and next week is a bank holiday so we don’t have childcare for our 3 year old - so I’m hoping he stays put for at least another week!!!
