Puréed prunes!!

I used glycerin suppositories. You could also try apple sauce and prunes

A couple ounces of pure apple juice is what we use and have had success with.

Pear juice. Trust me. It’s on the baby aisle at walmart. Gerber or store brand. It will loosen his pipes. Just dont overdo it bc things can get explosive

Massage the tummy clock wise and really work those leggies! Like they're running. It helps a lot

Puree prunes or prune juice

Apple juice and prunes are always a favorite so I ended up getting the prune apple baby food to see how it worked and it was amazing, none of my kids liked prunes so mixing it with the apple was perfect. I did start making the purées myself sometimes but either one does wonders for all 3 of my babies

blend up some prunes and give to baby. also look into getting him a probiotic! that helps with regular bowel movement. i use Klaire Labs SFI Health Ther-Biotic for my daughter. it’s a powder and you have to add it to food that is at or below body temperature. don’t use suppositories and good luck 🫶

Hello Vanessa, I would give little sips of water either in a sippy cup or even teaspoons of water after every couple mouthfuls of food to prevent his poo getting too hard, bicycle legs, light massage on his tummy in circular motions in a warm bath or during nappy changes with a bit of baby moisturiser for a couple minutes after about 20-30 mins after meals 🌷 hope this helps

The tiniest bit of prune juice mixed with water!! My daughter was constipated for like three days after a visit with my mom. I had to bust out the prunes and it cleared her right up.

Sleep

I’m at my wits end. My 6 month old is waking every 1-2 hours needing a feed (breastfed and refuses a bottle) and my toddler is waking for hours on end in the night and will only settle for me. I’m getting to the point of having 2-3 hours of broken sleep a night for the past week and I’m really really struggling. My husband says it’s got to the point we just need to let them both cry but my baby is only 6 months and my toddler is just waking the baby up anyway crying and will just run around upstairs . He won’t settle for dad at all. We don’t have a village and there’s nobody who can help me out during the day to look after them to let me sleep. I just don’t know what to do. I’ve tried just letting my toddler come into our bed but he just lies awake and says he wants to go back to his bed. Tried sleeping in his toddler bed but then the baby wakes for a feed. My husband also hates this as he thinks it’s creating a bad sleep association and making the problem worse long term. Really don’t want to co sleep with 6 month old as we both move around lots in our sleep and I would be too scared . Does anyone have any advice that isn’t co sleeping?

Sleeping places

Does anyone else's baby sleep better in their bed then the bassinet or crib? I swear my 8 week baby girl instantly falls asleep and even stays sleeping longer when shes in my bed then her own.

Please tell me I’m not alone 😭😭

Hi! I’m a FTM and lately have been experiencing derealization/depersonalization. Some days it’s so bad other days not so much, I love my baby she’s my entire world and I’m so scared I’m losing my mind. I also have anxiety and most days hate to be alone because it just feels so heavy at home so I tend to leave the house a lot with her. Does anyone know why this happens and ways to help ? I’m meeting with a therapist in a couple weeks :( I just want to feel better.

Benefits of breastfeeding beyond 1 year old?

As they get older, is it more about emotional attachment rather than the benefits of the breastmilk itself? I ask, as when a child has a varied diet, I wonder if breastfeeding is still necessary? Or, if there is a benefit to a child receiving breastmilk beyond a year old, is it necessary to be from the breast rather than it being expressed?

Sleep regression or developmental leap?

My 3 month (14 week) old formula fed baby has slept through the night consistently since about 8 weeks. The last 3 nights he has woken between 2-3am and seems hungry. I’ve tried rocking him and soothing back to sleep and he does temporarily settle but then wakes up again within a few minutes. So I succumb and make him a bottle and he is draining it every time so he obviously is hungry but isn’t feeding any less during the day than he was previously and is still having a big nighttime bottle, I haven’t changed any part of his bedtime routine etc.

We have just got back from a weeks holiday, but even then we were really hot on sticking to his usual routine, so as not to disturb his usual pattern. His temperature seems fine (not too hot or cold), he is sleeping same amount during the day, doesn’t seem poorly etc. So nothing has changed, with the exception of my husband has started randomly snoring again after months of not snoring (used to be really bad, then he lost a lot of weight and it stopped) which is waking me up and I’m finding really quite irritating 🫠😅 but I’m not sure it’s bothering the baby (although I can’t tell as he’s awake too) so unsure what it could be.

Should I just put it down to a developmental leap, sleep regression or growth spurt at this point? Either way, I’m hoping it settles again as I’m solo parenting for 9 days soon whilst hubby is away for work. Which should make for a more peaceful nights sleep but no extra pair of hands to help a sleep deprived mumma 🙈
