My 14 week old is really good at going to sleep in his cot for most of the night (dummy replacement every 30 mins happening currently though, painful), but after the second night feed, approx 3:30-5am ish, there is just no point even trying to put him in his cot. He thrashes around and won’t sleep ever, he seems to still really struggle with wind at this time of the night so it’s so much easier to bring him in with me so we can rest until it’s a more reasonable time to wake up.
Is anyone else having to do this, or got any tips to how I might attempt to put him back in his cot at this part of the night/morning? Is it normal that he still seems to struggle to fart so much at this age? I thought he would have grown out of this by now!

My LO struggled with this till about week 12. Now at week 14 and he does get it a bit but generally around 7am which is an improvement. And we do sometimes hear him fart in the night now.
I did the same in terms of bringing him in with me. Otherwise he would wake every 30 mins or less or just start the day at a silly time of the morning. Only way to survive and not have an over tired baby.

This is happening to me from 4am daily and I give in just to get a bit more sleep 😭 I was wondering if it was the light mornings but as it stays dark now until 6am I've ruled that one out, my LO is 16 weeks today but this has been happening for weeks

Not sure what you're doing for gas but I find if I give my LO some tummy time after a burping he usually gets more out on his own, maybe worth trying 20m if different burping positions to try and get more out and hopefully get him back down 🤷♀️

We co sleep from about 3/4 am. I wouldn’t worry about it if you’re getting some sleep! You can transition them out of it when they’re older and doesn’t meant they’ll be in there forever!
