I had them pretty bad during my pregnancy mostly about my baby being born and me being unable to care for her or doing something wrong. I hadn't had any really bad ones since she was born but my husband is out of town so my separation anxiety is compounding on top of everything else. Now im having them pretty much every night at least 2-3 a night. Theyre like horror movie level nightmares. My dreams have always been very vivid and ive always been a lucid dreamer which leads to pretty bad sleep paralysis. Im worried about it getting to that level while my husband is away. Its gotten to the point that im having trouble falling back asleep at night and im becoming paranoid. Its only been 3 days and he wont be back for another 8.
None of my normal solutions are an option right now. Mainly because hes not home and I dont wake to wake the baby. Melatonin makes them worse. Chamomile doesnt work. Ive cut sugar before bed. I havent watched any horror, thriller, or crime shows or movies. Anyone have any suggestion? also struggling with nightmares?

You know what , give me something to talk to you off of, while your man is away I would one put background noise out the tv on. Two. It can help sleeping on call. Three if you can I would try to go on a long walk did you know a lot of dreams are based off what you last saw and thought of. With that being said if you have a bad mind set before bed it will also increase nightmares

I get nightmares and my anxiety will be up to the roof because the dream feels so real but what has helped me is meditation before bed and anxiety meds. Or holding something cold .I usually get like that when I'm overly stressed. Find your triggers and see what works for you.
