When did your kids stop using a highchair?

My daughter just turned 2 and I’m curious when are we suppose to stop using a highchair??

My daughter is on the small side, we stopped using her booster seat a few months ago (she's 3.5)!

We transitioned to a booster seat on the regular chair just before 2.5

Around 18 months. She sits at her table with a chair. She does it at nursery so we mimicked it at home and found meal times to be much smoother

Our high chair converts to a booster, so we switched it to a booster seat at the table around 20 months so she could sit with us. It worked that way for a long while and probably still could, but the high chair has legs that stick far out and we keep tripping over them, so currently she's in a regular chair with a booster since about 2.5. she's not quite tall enough to just sit in the regular chair without one yet, but close.

We used a booster seat from 5 months to about 2.5. Both my kids outgrew the booster around 2.5.

We never used one at home.
We’d only ever use one at restaurants if we weren’t able to get seated at a booth.

Around 16ish months for both of my kids we switched from high chair to booster seat. We also have a clip on chair thing and we use that at both the baby and toddler stage.

We usually keep them in it until almost 3 yo. My main reasons are to minimize the mess and it gives them no opportunity to leave the table so when they get a booster seat they don’t struggle with staying in their chair for the entire meal.

With my son, I believe it was about 2.5 years old. With my daughter, it was before 2 years because she kept trying to lean out of it or remove the straps. She wanted no part of the high chair anymore lol.

That would depend on the size and type of the hichchair.

We have one that grows with them and lasts for life, they are still in there. But if your highchair is a standard one, the last setting is usually designed up to 3yo. Just see if they still like it, otherwise switch to an adult chair with a booster.

Just before he turned 3 he stopped needing a booster. Wed moved him onto a booster around 2.
