Who’s right and who’s wrong?

Every time I take my baby girl to grandma’s house, they prioritise her food rather than her sleep. My baby is 6 weeks tomorrow and she weighs about 5.3kg (she’s a big girl) so she has a big appetite. However she really struggles to sleep and can’t self sooth, she needs to be held, rocked or swayed. At grandmas house she would stay awake for hours, with maybe a 10/20min nap which isn’t her usual routine. At home she’d nap for 2/3hours. I can tell she’s overtired but she’s not fussy or crying, so they think she isn’t sleepy and she’s playing, but an overtired baby can look very awake, right? Any small cry or whenever she sucks her dummy eagerly they’d say she’s hungry and give her more milk. The thing is, she actually drinks the extra milk they offer, and finishes the bottles. But I know she’s tired and needs to be put to sleep. I’m just not sure who’s right here?

Hi, my baby is currently 7 weeks and he weighs 4.5kg. When I am at home he normally tends to take two naps for 1 hour sometimes less/more. Yesterday we went to my partners parents house and we were there from 11am till 8pm. I tried to put him down for a nap and he wasn’t going to sleep. He did stay awake most of the time and did not look tired. However today he has literally slept all day as I believe he’s trying to catch up the sleep he didn’t have yesterday. No one is right or wrong but tour baby is most likely tired and not settled as it’s not her own environment. How long were you at the house for?

It’s a new environment and new voices and new things to see newborns normally won’t settle as they think there missing out my little one does this all the time and it’s also a sign that he/she is learning a new skill like maybe sticking the tongue out or even blowing bubbles at 6 weeks you can’t really have a routine with a baby as there unpredictable maybe u feed you’re baby every 3 hr but she/he could want more after 1hr and more in this heat as they become thirsty it’s not only hunger is thirst to as they can’t drink water milk is the only source they have you’re doing great mama and don’t stress if u need a nap give that baby to dad or nan and have that nap 💖💖💖
