My in laws got us a bouncer

I’d return it. I know people mean well gifting these things but I wish they’d ask first! We needed one that folded away flat due to space too, and people kept trying to buy us big bulky ones we didn’t want

I have this problem with my MIL she buys everything BIG! And lucky we do have some space..but it's quickly running out I have had to pack things away and then she's like where is that not out 🤣

She bought a huge tipi for my one year old last year he is now two..she bought this year a garden bouncy castle 🤣

Everything is cool but also everything is so big, I'm a mum who prefers experiences over objects me and my partner don't over buy ourselves we prefer books for our son etc.

We didnt have the room for bouncers with my first so we just used the ones you can connect to the door and grandma had a proper bouncer at her house, we didnt use it much he would fall asleep in them 😅 was great if we couldnt get him to sleep normally

Do you ever go there? Could you keep it at hers for when you visit or whenever she babysits (if ever?) Some toys my mum gave me I never took it home, I said “oh I’ll leave it here so when he comes over he’ll have something to play with” 😅 (honestly because I didn’t WANT to bring it home lmao) or else return it or regift to a mum friend. We never used a bouncer either we just grabbed his hands or he stood against the couch bouncing his legs off
