My 3 year old is in preschool for the first time (first daycare situation he’s been in so far because I’m a SAHM). A kid in his class has hand foot and mouth and was in class yesterday when my son was there as well. My son is home today because it’s not his normal day to go in but he’s supposed to go back tomorrow. Do I keep him home and try to minimize exposure to other kids who might get HFM from this case? Or is it probably too late and he was already exposed anyway so we might as well send him if he’s not sick himself? I’m new to all of this and ultimately I want him healthy but I also don’t want to keep him home every time a classmate is sick. If I keep him home tomorrow, he wouldn’t go back until next Wednesday so it would give some time for other cases to pop up.

Hand foot & mouth is really contagious but other than them feeling a bit rough and having some spots they are generally okay.
I’m in the Uk but we have no exclusion policy for HF&M so I would still send my daughter in as normal
