Baby clothes shopping

We bought mostly 0-3 as we were told baby boy was measuring big, he arrived and was tiny so we had to rush and get tiny baby size! He’s 6 months old now and has only just gone into 3-6! I’d suggest just picking up a pack of vests and baby grows in each of the sizes you’ve mentioned and then getting more once they’re here!

I didn’t buy any newborn however hat was because I was 9lb and my brother was 10lb. I brought 14 vests/sleepsuits. We got a lot handed down but with my daughter I brought second hand bundles. We also topped it up with outfits we saw in the shops or in the sale.

My baby outgrew everything so fast it broke the bank! The items I bought on the bigger side gave us more use in the long run. Sizes also vary so much depending on brand but we loved the Burtzbeez essentials a ton, especially the long sleeve onesie packs. We only used newborn stuff for about a week but it was nice to have one or two newborn outfits and then bough everything else 0-3. Now we have to buy months ahead for our baby or we barely get any wears. Just a heads up!! ( we wasted a ton of money on items we couldn't use for long at all)

Get some up to 1 month from next, the jump from newborn to 0-3 is quite big! I had a 9llb and 10llb babies and both went straight into up to 1 month. As for how many just get a few of each and when baby arrives people will likely gift you and with supermarkets now you can get stuff super easy and quickly x

Every baby is different! My daughter fit in newborn clothes for a week max, was in up to 1 month for a short time and then in 0-3 when she was a couple weeks old. I have a friend whose baby is 1 next week and she’s still in 3-6 months clothes! The variation is wild xx
