So my 6 week old has been spitting a lot of milk out recently it’s almost every feed it’s very hard for her to keep her milk down I’ve been giving gaviscon but it’s not helping. She’s on aptamil comfort so it’s for colic and constipation I gave this milk because I thought her crying may have been colic, byt this formula is thin and the cow protein is broken down to be easily digested, but I tried to change her milk to a thicker formula which was the aptamil 1 and she cried non stop didn’t loosen her stool for a whole week and I could tell she was in pain either colic I’m not sure, so now I’ve been worried it’s both I’m not sure what to do she’s giving signs of it being both I just wanna know if any moms out there have been struggling with this too because it has been so tiring she cries a lot and it’s very hard to put her to sleep and if she sleeps she wakes up every 30 minutes. 🤧😔 it’s also so hard seeing her in pain like this.🥹

We’re going through this with our 6 week old with silent reflux and GP is trying to rule out cows milk protein allergy but we think it’s more reflux. He has been put on aptamil pepti by the GP and Carobel thickening powder which has helped. It makes the milk thicker so more likely to stay down. We were given gaviscon sachets last week to try instead of the carobel as we felt he still had some symptoms but the gaviscon made him really constipated and he could only get it in 3 feeds. So we’ve switched him back to carobel in each bottle. We’re hoping he’ll be given omeprazole as that helped my older son who had terrible reflux.

Hi my daughter is 2 now and she had CMPA and reflux.
The only thing that worked was moving her onto the hypoallergenic formula. We were on nutrimigen then Neocate both had their good and bad points. But we also did have to put her on omeprazole for a short while for the reflux as Gaviscon did nothing for her. She hated the oneprazole so it was fairly short lived but it did help and believe saw us out the other side while her body settled down as it drastically reduced the amount she was sick. But the biggest thing that sorted the reflux was time. At 8 month old she was almost completely reflux free naturally on her own as her body had just grown and settled plus she was eating bits of food by then. It is a rocky road with CMPA and reflux and unfortunately you will have a very upset baby but I promise it gets loads better. Also bare in mind your probably in the peak witching hour phase where they do cry an awful lot especially in the evening. Hang in there xxx

my daughter had cmpa and reflux at 6 weeks old, we had tried the gaviscon which also didn’t work but ended up using carobel and which thickened the milk but then came the constipation. We started on Aptamil pepti 1 but she refused to drink it at all and then swapped to sma althera which she then stayed on until around 10 months old which then she outgrew the milk allergy. We didn’t get to resolve constipation until we got to weaning as i then have her lots of high fibre foods

Thank you lovely ladies I guess it really is just trial and error and time 🥺 I’m just feeling much better I’m not alone

My son is 6 months and has CMPA, he came up in a massive rash, my older boy has one so the rash was super familiar, he also had some choking in his sleep as he was bringing the milk up whilst sleeping, we were sent to hospital to be checked where they switched him to Aptamil pepti 1, which still has the cows milk protein in but it’s broken down to allow for it to be tolerated easier however after 2 months he reacted again, the same rash all over and itching, mucus in stools and extra sickness, so he’s now been moved onto SMA alfamino which is an amino acid formula and the rash has gone and things are a bit more settled 🤞🏻it can take up to 6 weeks for the cows milk to leave their system so sometimes it’s just a case of waiting and seeing although I know how difficult that is when your baby is uncomfortable 🥲

It’s so hard I’ve felt awful that my baby has been uncomfortable and like I’m just winging it trying to find a solution and also that there are so many hoops to jump through before the GP will really listen. Was the same with my oldest

This is me, on week 13 🫠 had tongue tie cut, put her on comfort milk, now on cmpa milk, went onto gaviscon and now on omeprazole, feel free to message x
I am 10.5 months postpartum and still breastfeeding. I have spent the last 5 years pregnant, postpartum, or nursing. We lost our first son during childbirth from a tragic accident. We now have two rainbows who keep me very busy taking care of them. Just wondering how long it took you to start to feel like yourself again? Did anything specific help you get there quicker?!? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

My 7 month old is in a floor bed, which works amazingly at home. We go on holiday in a few weeks where I'll be sharing a double bed with him (there is a travel cot available but he's never really slept in a cot so I don't want this to be our only option as I'm not convinced he'll sleep in it).
The double bed obviously won't be on the floor....what are makeshift budget ways (that actually will stop a rolling around 7 month old) that can stop him rolling out of the 3 open sides without having to spend money on 3 side bed rails?
Any tips welcome x

Anyone else have a little one ( 1 week old) who is great during the day, sleeps so well, can be put down to sleep and is fine on bottles.
Evening/late night comes and all she wants is to sleep on us and definitely seems a bit windy/struggling to poo even though she’s been fine on the bottles throughout the day

Do you or have you gave melatonin to your child(ren)? I’m considering it for my soon to be 4 year old…. I’ve tried putting her to sleep at 7pm but she doesn’t fall asleep until after 10pm. We’ve tried taking her outdoors during the day to burn her energy but nothing works. Getting desperate…

Anyone else feeling physically and emotionally drained now? How do you do?
Controversial opinion but I found it a lot easier to care for baby when she was a tiny newborn, all was new, still running on adrenaline and she was sleeping during the day! Now that she is 3 months old, it's hard and it never stops.
I feel I have been "on" for the past 3 months and now reaching my limit. Anything will set me off, I have no patience with baby and keep arguing with hubby.
Am I alone feeling like this? Any tips? Will it get better?

So my boy is 2 weeks 2 days. The first week he slept fine in his bassinet now he will not sleep without touching me! And scream if I put him down. Does anyone safely co sleep or find a way to help them sleep without you? I get super anxious about co sleeping.
