Allergy poo 💩 (warning poo picture)

Second time round you would think I wouldn’t need to be second guessing myself but I need someone else’s opinion to make sure I’m not over thinking it. For context. My first born has CMPA now four and on the last step of my milk ladder.

My second is now 9 weeks but been very unsettled since 2 weeks. No eczema on his body, a little dry eye brows but also cradle cap. No big spit up but a normal amount of reflux. Very squirmy even after a bottle. Grunty and gassy but good at trumping and burping. He has cried so much he has given himself a large umbilical hernia.

His nappies always look like the photo included (Hipp organic) apart from when we tried a comfort formula (Hipp comfort) and it was watery and green.

We have tried one tub (2.5 days) of nutramigen and one tub (2.5 days) of aptamal pepti 1 under GP recommendations but both he hated drinking and would spit up a lot, cry more and get more gas. So we never continued with the trial to truly see results.

It’s still in the back of my mind that his nappies don’t look quite right and he is very unsettled/gassy most of the time. What do you think, do I preserver with the watery CMPA formulas?

My LB’s nappy’s looked similar to this, I showed a photo to the GP and she moved us from pepti 1 to neocate and he’s so much happier now. I found the pepti 1 was fine for a few weeks but he was very gassy still and then he had a flare up from the build up of the cows milk protein in it. I put vanilla drops in his prescribed formula for around a week and then slowly weaned him off it, he now takes a bottle with no fussing x

How long did it take before you felt like yourself again postpartum?!

I am 10.5 months postpartum and still breastfeeding. I have spent the last 5 years pregnant, postpartum, or nursing. We lost our first son during childbirth from a tragic accident. We now have two rainbows who keep me very busy taking care of them. Just wondering how long it took you to start to feel like yourself again? Did anything specific help you get there quicker?!? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Positive Post Partum Experiences

I feel like a lot of the postpartum experiences I see online are often negative. And I completely understand why — sharing those experiences is so important because it brings awareness and reminds other moms that they’re not alone if they’re struggling.

But I’d also love to hear more of the positive experiences! I don’t want to go into postpartum expecting the absolute worst because of everything I’ve seen online.

Does anyone have a positive postpartum experience they’d be willing to share? Or know of any influencers/creators who share more positive postpartum experiences? I’d love some recommendations!

Melatonin

Do you or have you gave melatonin to your child(ren)? I’m considering it for my soon to be 4 year old…. I’ve tried putting her to sleep at 7pm but she doesn’t fall asleep until after 10pm. We’ve tried taking her outdoors during the day to burn her energy but nothing works. Getting desperate…

Sleep deprived!

Anyone else have a little one ( 1 week old) who is great during the day, sleeps so well, can be put down to sleep and is fine on bottles.
Evening/late night comes and all she wants is to sleep on us and definitely seems a bit windy/struggling to poo even though she’s been fine on the bottles throughout the day

Baby will not sleep! help!

My 1 month old will not sleep during the day. He wakes up around 7am and then is pretty much wired till 8-9pm. I have tried and researched everything under the sun but it will not work. Has anyone experienced this? He takes about 2-3 naps that are usually about 30mins long

Sleep!!

Is it normal for my 5month old to wake through the night! He is put into bed at 10pm after a bath and bottle, he normally awakes around 2am! He is pretty easy to settle back to sleep but i am wondering if he should be sleeping through the night until 6-7am and if anyone has tips as to how they got their babies to.

I have tried an earlier bed time but he stirs more frequently so i have decided to keep him at 10 he normally naps at 11am religiously and sometimes has another in the afternoon. He is so irritable in the day as he refuses to nap for a decent time as he has a fear of missing out! Any advice appreciated as i think he could really do with a good nights sleep! (Me too 🥲)
