40th birthday

I went for a meal with a friend. If it was your birthday you got your meal for free. They said I couldn't have mine because I didn't have enough friends. I also had a 6 month old baby at home. It was pretty flat tbh.

It’s my 40th this month and I constantly think about what to do. It falls on a Sunday so no work😍 but I’m taking my kid to a bday party in the middle of the day (it’s the bestie so can’t miss)…I don’t have enough friends to throw a proper party, it’s a tough one. I still want to do something meaningful

I didn't really do stuff but I did buy myself things a couple times

Mums only do their own birthdays when their child understands what it is.

I went to a spa with a friend and had afternoon tea
Lunch and shopping with my mum
Proper chill day, movie on the sofa
Spa day with another friend who was also turning 40
Day at the races
Meal out at my favourite restaurant

I was going to do nothing but a friend coordinated about 10 of my friends getting together for a hike and lunch in the mountains. It was really nice

Turning 40 in a month and my friend is opening her house and hosting for me - joint bday actually one of the other mums has her bday a week before mine so we just gonna do ours together…I don’t mind it’s gonna be fun regardless. Every year we invite gfs couple weeks in advance and do a dinner- everyone chips in a lil more so the bday girl ends up free. Sat I went to a a gfs 45th, each head was $82 for a 6 course meal, but all 13 of us payed $89 instead and so the extra $7 out of 13 girls the bday girl got her meal free. (Drinks extra, scanned and paid at table before arrival, price is just food) that’s how we do bday dinners, bday girl never pays.
