I was so determined to EBF with my second baby and she’s doing well but my milk supply is dropping drastically. We’ve exhausted my limited freezer stash and by the time i have a chance to pump in the day it’s used for the night feed by my partner. By the time she goes to bed I’m producing little to none, so I’m looking at one formula bottle a day, at night.
It’s been so long since my last so I can’t remember the process of making a formula bottle (quick is preferable lol) before I pull out the baby brezza. (In my head I’ll depend on it less without that magic godsend).
Starting with Kendamjl regular - what are the tips?! And how do I keep my supply from dropping further going to more pumping.
Rant over! 🙃

I am in the exact same boat!!
My little boy is 4 months old and because my supply has dropped I’m not being able to express for the following night time bottle (partner does bedtime too) so we now give him kendamil infant first milk and honestly it’s changed my life, I no longer stress and get upset when I’m not pumping anything, worrying what we’ll do for the following nights bottle. Often when I do feel uncomfortable I express and whatever comes out I store in the off chance I leave him.
I was against formula as I EBF my first baby but being a mama to two is so different and dont get me wrong I got upset when we gave him his first bottle of formula as I felt I’d failed him but he took to it absolutely no bother at all. P.s. we give ready to feed as opposed to making the powder milk up!
You’ve got this!

So there’s many things that could affect your supply. Stress, period, not fully emptying out, or many more things. I would try power pumping everyday, after every feed, and include a pump in the middle of the night to get your supply up until you produce enough.

Power pumping is definitely the answer. I use to pump every hour on the hour. After my baby was done feeding I would pump for another 5 10 mins every time after feeding. When they were feeding I would be pumping my other boob with a manual pump.

One formula bottle a day absolutely doesn’t undo all the breastfeeding you’re doing 🤍 For Kendamil I’d just follow the tin exactly — measure the water first, add the correct scoops, shake and cool if needed. I’d avoid changing the ratios or making it “stronger.”
For supply, if your partner gives that night bottle, ideally try to pump around that feed or at least add another pumping session somewhere in the day so your body still gets the message that milk is needed. Even a short pump is better than nothing. You could also try a power-pumping session for a few days and lots of skin-to-skin. If supply keeps dropping despite that, I’d get a lactation consultant to check feeding/latch too 🤍
Has anyone found anything that genuinely helps hair getting thicker? I used to have the thickest hair, down to my bum. Then after I had my son it just won’t stop falling out. Even now, I’m nearly 15 months PP and every day clumps of hair are falling out, even when I’m sleeping and roll over strands of hair get wrapped around my neck or hands. My hair line is so thin you can just see scalp, and if it wasn’t for how long it is, I’d genuinely look bald. Really starting to worry and stress out about it.

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and since birth my 8 week old is constantly feeding. She won’t settle unless she’s on me. She won’t take to a bottle for dad to feed her and she won’t take to a dummy. Is anyone else’s baba like this? Any advise would be appreciated! 🫶🏽

My 3 year old started last week and only wants to watch TV when she comes home. I’ve been letting her because it’s a big transition and she’s too tired out to do much else but I feel like she’s not getting much of a chance to calm down before bedtime!
Need some suggestions for a good after school routine ◡̈

Met up with a friend over the summer, she noticed i was stressed and apologies for not offering any support earlier. For context, I have complex needs toddler .She offered to accompany me on a long haul flight with the toddler. I was overjoyed with this plan.Weeks later she send me an email thread confirming it is not advised she misses 2 days of her master's course.she didn't attempt to shorten the trip ,she jus cancelled.I was crushed but moved on .Today, she messaged the master's is having an open ceremony and she is asking me to attend on a Saturday evening. Its in another city, I told her I have no child care. She suggested I take the medically complex toddler with me , on the train and will end of having 1.5 hrs train ride in each direction in the late evening/night ,days before my long haul flight. I'm upset she asked, is not an important event.Am I overreacting?

I’m really struggling with how I feel about feeding at the moment and I’d really appreciate hearing from other mums who have been in a similar position. ❤️
My little girl is 10 weeks old and I’ve been breastfeeding alongside formula top-ups since she was three weeks old due to advice from the paediatricians about her low birth weight. I’ve worked really hard at breastfeeding — feeding her, pumping, trying to increase my supply and constantly worrying about whether she’s getting enough. It’s now been confirmed that I have a genuinely low milk supply. The healthcare professional thinks that I may simply have a lower milk-producing capacity, and that there isn’t really anything I could have done differently to change that.
Logically, I know that this is not my fault and that I haven’t failed my baby. But emotionally, I’m finding it really difficult. I’ve spent the last couple of days doing lots of crying and feeling like I’ve somehow failed at something that I desperately wanted to do for her.
I’ve been advised that I could continue breastfeeding and topping her up, but honestly I’m finding the whole feeding/pumping/top-up cycle really difficult and I’m not sure it’s sustainable for me long-term. Part of me thinks I might actually be happier and less stressed if I switched fully to formula.
But my anxiety is making that decision incredibly difficult. I keep having thoughts like “what if I stop breastfeeding and something bad happens to her?” and specifically worrying about SIDS. I know logically that formula-fed babies are safe and that there are lots of other things that reduce the risk of SIDS, but my anxiety keeps telling me that if I stop breastfeeding, I’m somehow putting her at risk.
I think I’m looking for reassurance from mums who have either had low supply, combination fed, or decided to stop breastfeeding earlier than they originally planned.
Did anyone else feel this huge amount of guilt when they stopped? Did switching to formula make feeding and your mental health easier? And if you breastfed for a few weeks/months and then stopped, did you find it easier to come to terms with?
I’m not looking for judgement either way — I just feel really lost at the moment and would love to hear some honest experiences from other mums who have been through it. ❤️
